Week of 7/11/10 Featured Shop

This week I have chosen seashellsbyseashore.

Meet Lynette, owner of seashellsbyseashore:

I live on beautiful North Padre Island along the coast of Texas. I love spending countless hours on the beach year round- like the post man, you’ll find me out there in all kinds of elements- rain, wind, cold, and heat. I feel a little closer to heaven on the beach and near the sea.  The island life is therapeutic to my spirit, mind, and body. I was diagnosed last year with an autoimmune disease that has been reoccurring undiagnosed for over 10 years. I have turned my illness into my chance to expand my creative side, and create coastal artwork in honor of my love of the sea I hold so dearly. I also am a vintage girl at heart, as I once owned a second hand store for over 4 years, before my illness became too much to handle. I dream of once again owning a quaint, little shop by the sea where I can create, sell, and display my treasures- vintage and coastal inspired decor alike.

I try to use many upcycled and repurposed items in my coastal décor, and do my part to recycle and reuse.  I firmly believe that by using what the world has to offer already, we can make a difference in our children’s futures. I have 3 beautiful, talented children- and they share an eco friendly attitude in all walks of life. They have been leaders in their school and community, teaching others how to practice a spirit of discipleship.

EMERGENCY

We have a fellow Etsian who is facing homelessness.  Please visit her shop and help promote her so she can have the sales she needs to keep her home.  Your help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Week of 7/4 Featured Shop

This week I have chose theJuke2 from Etsy.com

Meet Kristen:
It's pronounced "yook"! My husband's nickname growing up was "The Juke" after his last name, so when I joined the family I became "The Juke 2" (the second "Juke").

I started taking pictures as soon as I learned how to use a camera and was old enough to use my mother's without dropping it. My very first camera was a Where's Waldo 110 film camera and I often used it to take photos of puddles and the sky. My passion still lies in nature photography and I strive to capture the world in a unique way. KRJ Photography NY is based out of upstate New York and was established in 2011.

Week of June 27th Feature Shop

This week, we are featuring richecosmetics from Etsy.com

Meet Andrea:
I am a wife, a mother, a sister, a best friend, a seamstress, a healer of bumps and bruises to my little ones, a cook, a maid, a traditionalist, an adventurist, a believer, a truth teller, a music lover, a fashion googler, and a real person, just like you.
I started this adventure last summer. It's so fun to mix and create new colors. I have such a great time doing it. The most fun I've had is making new friends with fellow Etsians. I've found that I've got a lot in common with other ladies here. It's interesting because even though we might come from a different place, we still have so many things in common.

Week of 6/21/2011 Featured Etsy Shop

I have chosen to feature KMGEMS.

Meet Kathy owner of KMGEMS:

Little about myself. I live Massachusetts, USA and I love to travel to the Cape Cod Beaches in the summer.

I have always enjoyed some form of crafts. Knitting was my favorite craft for many years until I went to a beading class on how to make a wine bottle cover. I have been hooked ever since. I have also taken a wire wrapping class. I am now completely hooked on jewelry making.

I love creating with Swarovski crystals because of the sparkle they have to them.

I have been selling jewelry to friends who requested special items. I have 2 cute grand daughters, who just love for me to make them something special.

I have been a Etsy.com shop owner since September of 2009.  I have a 100% satisfaction guarantee with my jewelry, so you can be confident in your purchases. Most of my items are one of a kind. I make duplicates by request ONLY.  I also offer special discounts each month. Just stop by for a visit in my shop to see this month's specials.
